After discovering acid house in the late 80’s as a teenager, Jack’s passion grew from the early 90’s while living in Bristol, attending the legendary parties of the time including the first DIY crew raves that introduced him to dubby underground House.
Following a life-changing trip to Chicago he focused on US House and Garage, and started playing at private parties then small clubs. After a move to Portugal in 97 he entered the local circuit and has since enjoyed some prolific years as DJ at the top venues and party promoter with StressLess Project.
Both as resident and guest his CV includes most of the leading Portuguese Clubs (like Locomia, Pacha, Industria and Vaticano) and Festivals/Events (like Cosmopolis, Vilar De Mouros, Elektro Parade and Lisbon Fashion Week).
Internationally he’s played at celebrated clubs like Bar Rumba (London), Skansen (Oslo), Par (St.Petersburg), Fredsgatan 12 (Stockholm) and Vegas (Sao Paulo), together with regular visits to London as member of the Mi Casa Soundsystem at several venues.
Other DJ tours have taken him around Brazil, Norway, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Ukraine, Sweden, Romania, Rússia, Poland and Slovenia.
He formed the StressLess Project in 98 with Tiago Dias in Portugal and both together and solo continues playing a feelgood mix of funky House and US Garage, dominated by the soulful but pumping sounds of New York/New Jersey as his trademark. Depending on crowd and venue his sets can range from deep jazzy lounge House to tougher Tech/Tribal/Latin beats.
His main DJ and production influences include Kerri Chandler, Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, Masters at Work and Danny Krivit.
His first release, as No Problem Disco, is due mid spring with remixes by Faze Action, Yam Who and Joey Negro.
