Dreamfields Festival was founded in 2011 as organizer Matrixx progressed as event and festival promoter from owning a club to selling out big dance festivals. Dreamfields was the key to filling the gap in the EDM market in the East of The Netherlands. Dreamfields was an immediate success and grew from 10.000 to 25.000 people within 3 years, topping this in 2018 with over 30.000 visitors from all around The Netherlands and abroad. In the 17 years of Matrixx’ existence the company did several events abroad. In 2014 Matrixx took the step to launch their festival concept outside of The Netherlands: Dreamfields Festival Bali Indonesia. Globally, the Dreamfields concept captures the imagination the most within the Matrixx portfolio. The first edition of Dreamfields abroad was an instant success, attracting 15.000 people to the Indonesian Island of Bali. Meanwhile, the home edition of Dreamfields in The Netherlands continued its growth by expanding to over 30.000 visitors in 2018, welcoming people from over 10 countries to yet another sold out edition. The beautifully decorated stages, combined with fine entertainment on the festival grounds and a mesmerising show makes Dreamfields truly a dream that has become reality.
