The group released an album & Eps, which received widespread positive attention in magazines like hip Hop Connection, Big Smoke & amongst the London Hip Hop scene. “With lines like “when i bust raps even the god of thunder claps ” and “I take a pop at MCs alphabetically” On the A – side you know you’ re dealing with skilled wordsmiths. It’s the crew’s first release and the second on the fledgling Smoking Mics label but the quality is as polished as any out put from a longstanding collective. The production is weighty and serves solely to let the rappers get creative. On the flip side is ‘The Gathering’ (featuring Kensho). The Xylophone is chopped nicely and the kicks snap like broken bones. Lyrically it is more of the same; ‘You don’t want to battle the concentration camp. We fire live ammunition while your squadron blazing blanks’. Props to Ambush (now known as DJ Kensho) & Aslan for the beats and DJ Terror & Pager for fly scratch patterns on both tracks. The heads wont stop ringing until the next Smoking Mic release.”
